Salsa is Multi Group winning Ch. Richelieu's Some Like It Hot.from the classes. She was handled by Diane. She was the AMA Top Producing Dam for 1997 after being retired from showing shortly after being BOS at Westminster in 1994. Salsa's sire was Ch. Richelieu's Wee Gee Weejus, who was out of Ch. Non-Vel's WeeJun, and her dam was

Salsa first litter bred to Risque' produced Multi Group winning Ch. Richelieu's Risque' Hot Stuff, Cayenne, and Ch. Richelieu's Risque' Hot Desire, Desi. Her second litter we bred to our Top Gun, she produced Ch. Richelieu's Hot Son Of A Gun, Shooter; Ch. Richelieu's All Fired Up, Rocket; Ch. Richelieu's Some Hot Number, Savannah; Ch. Richelieu's Some Hot Pistol, Pistol.

Salsa's offspring have helped produced National Specialty Winners Bitch three times and a Winners Dog, Multi BIS American, Brazilian Ch. White Field Here Comes Trouble. AMA Winners Bitch in 1999, Ch. Richelieu's Hot Site To Behold was sired by Shooter, WD, BW, Best Bred By at the 2000 National, Ch. White Field Here Comes Trouble, was sired by Rocket. Desi helped produce Winners Bitch at the 2000 National for Angel's Maltese.

Salsa's grandson "Trouble or Roquinho" bred to Salsa's granddaughter sired by Shooter, Hotzy, Hot Site To Behold, produced Ch. Richelieu's Trouble N' Disguise, Georgia, and Ch. Richelieu's Trouble's Arrived, Peaches. Georgia was AMA National Specialty Winners Bitch in 2003 & WB at the California Central Valley Specialty. Her sister, Peaches, was WB at the Evergreen Specialty and grabbed a Group win on the way to her championship.

Grandson Roquinho and doubled up great granddaughter Peaches have both separately helped to produce two BIS winners. Roquinho's son, Funny Ladies Heart Throb"Cruise", went BIS a week ago in Italy. Peaches daughter, Funny Ladies Beach Girl "Pataya", just went BIS in California a week ago with two Group I wins for that weekend.

As you can see, Salsa and her offspring have had a tremendous influence in our breeding program and show win results. Needless to say, she and her progeny have been bred to equally fine breed specimens to achieve these results. In writing this, I have only mentioned offspring that either had BIS or Specialty wins. There are many other champions with Salsa in the pedigree that we and others have bred and finished. One that comes to mind of ours that I left out is BISS Am., Brazilian Ch. Richelieu's Benjamin Bunny Top winning Maltese in Bazil sired by Shooter out of Ch. Richelieu's Vision To Behold....a repeat breeding of the one that produced Hotzy. Like Salsa, Hotzy and her Champion daughters, Peaches and Georgia are proving to be strong influence on the Richelieu Maltese today.
